We stayed in a deluxe two bedroom cabin. Now I haven’t stayed in a caravan park for years - but I must say the standard has definitely gone up. This is not what I expected of a cabin in any c/park-especially one in Bacchus Marsh.
Everything was clean and well maintained. The beds were so so comfortable, the bed linen was really good quality as well.
There was a fan in the main room, but neither a fan or air-conditioner in the other room. However there was an air-conditioner in the main room, which one could have left the bedroom door open to make use of.
The water pressure & temperature were good.
Full-size fridge also. Super clean.
The park was super quiet during our entire stay - even though it’s close by housing estates & a main road.
The location was great for us as well, as we were there for the weekend to attend a three day convention in Melton.
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
Kim was delightful to deal with, making a booking and follow-ups. The cabin was small, spotless, and well appointed , everything we needed for a short overnight stay. Car parking next to cabin.
Cabin not clean. See photos. Holes in fly screens and lots of ants, however NO INSECT SPRAY provided. Had to go to shop to buy some! Dirty used kitchen sponge. Kettle not usable due to old scale and smell. Cobweds above bed. Shed of neighbouring 'park resident' only 1 metre from our bedroom window. Could hear his drilling etc! Not good overall.
Good caravan park, cabins we were in had been updated since last stay 5 yrs ago;
Prices are not overly good value when compared with local motels, which were cheaper, but advantage with caravan park cabins, u can buy groceries and cook in cabin;
Good to see full sized fridges in cabins and recently new also, very quite running ; Also new hot water services recently, so we had plenty hot water every day for showers and dishes etc;
We had couple minor criticisms with cabin,
We had problem with heater rc ac unit, came back on Sunday from convention , as we had left it on to maintane heat in cabin, it was not working, gone into error mode;
Rang managers office and left msg, after hours carer taker arrived within 15 mins and fixed problem ; and heater ran properly rest of visit:
Cabin very clean upon arrival, gold star there;
No table or chairs on front veranda;
Beds very firm , but they are commercial grade mattresses, but I like firm , but not for everyone; Rooms need to be serviced more often on weekends, for towels, bath mats , and they need face washers; none were there, and boxes tissues in bathrooms;
Finally, bathroom exhaust fans very loud, need separate switch to operate, if u go to loo during the night, turn light on and wake others in cabin with u, and front external light needs to be able to stay on , we had no light to operate key lock upon returning at night ! It’s on a timer switch currently !
Will we stay again, very likely, good location, 711 next door with fuel, close to
town and good shopping with major supermarkets there!
The park has to continue to improve , we hope they take these comments on board and implement improvements, we may be there next year for next convention !!!
Old, but clean. Comfortable. All the facilities you need, great for adults, maybe not long stay if you have kids
Was looking forward to staying here but due to inclement weather conditions my rally drive experience was cancelled one day before we were supposed to stay here. Called the park but they were refusing to help us out whether it be a rescheduling of the booking or even a partial refund. When I reschedule my rally drive I think I’ll use an air bnb…..
Might be OK for cabin stays but 20foot caravans are not comfortably accommodated on the uneven slopey, dirt sites of 37 and 38! Noisy at times during night when service station air conditioner kicks in behind the huge brick wall.
$45 per night is the most expensive site of our 5 weeks away! We won't be back.
Old outdated cabin could do with a deep clean, retrieved my case from under bunk, it was covered in dust, however the room was tidy, stayed 4 days no fresh linen supplied.
Exceptionally clean cabins and very well presented.
Great staff.
